We are currently hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our finance team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, ensuring financial accuracy, and managing vendor relationships.

The role is fully remote, offering flexibility while maintaining high standards of financial operations.

Job Responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing material invoices using a 3-way PO match (invoice, purchase order, and packing slip).
  • Ensuring packing slips and Goods Receipt Numbers (GRNs) align with invoices.
  • Managing service invoices by requesting approval, verifying General Ledger coding, and ensuring correct account classification.
  • Prioritizing invoices based on due dates and monitoring workflow for efficiency.
  • Addressing and resolving vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintaining accurate vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment terms.
  • Preparing and executing weekly payment runs with precision and timeliness.
  • Reconciling vendor statements and ensuring discrepancies are resolved.
  • Collaborating with internal departments to streamline invoice and payment processes.
  • Assisting in month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
  • Generating and maintaining financial reports related to accounts payable.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Job Qualification As An Accounts Payable Specialist

To qualify for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a corporate setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
