Key Responsibilities As A Human Resource Officer

As a human resource officer at Venmac Resources Limited, you will take on responsibilities that directly influence the growth and success of the company. Your core duties will include:

Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Managing the full recruitment process: posting job advertisements, shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.
  • Crafting compelling job descriptions tailored to specific roles.
  • Designing and executing impactful onboarding and training programs.
Staff Development and Training
  • Organizing and conducting training sessions to enhance skills and efficiency for internal and external staff.
  • Identifying training needs and creating tailored development opportunities.
  • Conducting exit interviews and leveraging feedback to improve employee retention strategies.
HR Operations & Compliance
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Creating and enforcing job descriptions for all staff.
  • Conducting background checks and arranging medical screenings for new employees.
  • Conducting weekly visits to managed hotels to oversee HR operations.
Performance Management
  • Monitoring and appraising the performance of external employees across hotel locations and reporting directly to the CEO.
  • Addressing employee grievances and fostering positive relationships between management and staff.
  • Aligning HR strategies with the company’s mission and vision to ensure organizational success.
Strategic HR Planning
  • Developing and implementing HR policies that align with company goals.
  • Bridging gaps between management and staff to create a cohesive work environment.
  • Tracking project milestones and contributing to organizational objectives.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • A BA/BSc/HND degree and 4-10 years of experience in human resource management.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Proven ability to manage remote teams and drive performance across multiple locations.
  • A proactive mindset for addressing challenges and proposing innovative solutions.
