I think one of the biggest mistakes people make is falling in love with an idea before finding out whether anyone actually wants it.

Before I spend months building an online business, I ask myself 3 questions:

1. Is It Solving a Real Problem?

Before I venture into any online business, I research the problem first.

Because every good business solves a problem.

And generally, the more painful, urgent, or valuable the problem is, the more people may be willing to pay for a solution.

Don't start with:

"What can I sell?"

Start with:

"What problem can I solve?"

That's a completely different way of thinking about business.

2. Who Exactly is Suffering from this Problem?

This is where many people get it wrong.

They identify a problem but don't identify the person experiencing it.

For example, are you selling to people who are desperately looking for money?

Or are you selling to people who already have money but have a problem they need solved?

I generally prefer the second group.

Why?

Because someone who already has money and urgently needs a solution usually has more purchasing power.

Once you know exactly who you're helping, everything becomes easier:

✅ Where to find them.
✅ What to say to them.
✅ What they care about.
✅ And what they're willing to pay for.

3. Can I Reach These People Without Spending a Fortune?

This is something people often overlook. If the only way you can reach your target audience is paid ads, then be ready to spend a lot of money.

And that's not a guarantee that you will achieve success with it.

I have never sold any digital products to my target audience starting with ads. I either create a Facebook group, WhatsApp or Telegram channel.

I normally go with a Facebook group. And it has always worked fine for me.

I have a strategy for that anyways.

So ask yourself: Where do my potential customers hang out?

👉 Facebook?
👉 LinkedIn?
👉 WhatsApp?
👉 Telegram?
👉 TikTok?

✅ Can I reach them organically?
✅ Can I talk to them directly?
✅ Can I build an audience around the problem?

If you can't answer those questions, I'd think twice before investing heavily in the business.

Because a business doesn't just need a good product.

It needs a problem, a person with that problem, and a reliable way to reach that person.

So, that online business you are thinking of venturing into, which problems are you solving, who are you solving the problem for, and can you reach them without running paid ads?

Think about this.

These questions work for both service and product business.

I look forward to your response.
